TESLIN® Substrate Printing Guide: Intaglio

Teslin substrate has been successfully printed using Intaglio, a technique in which an image is incised into a surface and the incised line or sunken area holds the ink. SP1000 and HD1400 product grades can be used as well as self-adhesive Teslin substrate. With other Teslin substrate products, the high nip pressure of the intaglio press causes distortion of the sheet, (e.g. fanning), which might lead to poor image quality. Contact your ink supplier to determine the best ink to use on Teslin substrate.
